Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. The comedian appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. Bea's career began in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few part in Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. The year 2012 saw her begin to appear regularly on sketches and sitcoms. The actress began to appear regularly in panel shows following the win of an award at in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She's been part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's an extremely popular contestant on the show's sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan, and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her sister-in-law. In 2012 she won the So You think You're Funny Award for the second time. Bea was given to her to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who took his own life when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she reached the age of thirteen. The stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. She wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey of suicide. Bea was raised with her sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer and a former professional racer. The family was obsessed with horses and racing. As a young girl, Bea employed as an instructor in the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she wasn't interested in the racing industry as a job, and loved performing.
